Job Description and Requirements

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Statements and Periodic Reports

  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Prepare the necessary reports regarding the financial statements and ensure their accuracy.
  • Analyze the accounting method for the general ledger.
  • Prepare all necessary reports, whether monthly, quarterly or annually, required by the Central Bank of Bahrain /HO within the agreed dates.
  •  Prepare financial analysis of the offers submitted by suppliers through the preparation of various studies and statistics.
  • Participate in the study of pricing banking products
  • Participate in cost of funds calculation and reporting.
  • Prepare analysis of Branch financials and trend analysis.

Financial Control/Other Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review/perform of daily and monthly control reports and reconciliation statements and ensure balances do not exceed limits and budget figures.
  • Participate in reports automation and systems testing and implementation.
  • Prepare VAT reports.
  • Participate in preparing ALCO agenda.
  • Match the inventory of fixed assets with the accounting balances and submit observations to the direct supervisor in case of damage or loss of those assets
  • Report financial loss incidents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Completed or pursuing ACCA/CPA.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance / Financial control in the Bahraini banking sector.

Additional Key Competencies:

  • Good knowledge in Bahrain Accounting & Financial regulations.
  • Well versed in CBB regulations and proficient in MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint.
