JOB SUMMARY:
The International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. The clinic focal point at International Medical Corps leads and supervises a multidisciplinary team, encompassing both Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Child Protection Case Managers. This role integrates a biopsychosocial, multidisciplinary, and community-based approach, ensuring comprehensive and effective service delivery. The case manager’s focal point is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the team, promoting quality outcomes in both MHPSS and child protection case management. This includes overseeing the provision of mental health case management and other relevant services for individuals with MHPSS needs, as well as ensuring that Child Protection Case Managers conduct comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of individual children's needs.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES
This role includes providing case management services to cases in addition to leadership, supervision, and direct engagement across MHPSS. The clinic focal point is responsible for ensuring high-quality, integrated care through a collaborative, community-based approach.
Conduct safety planning, crisis intervention, and risk management for high-risk beneficiaries, including those with suicide risk, severe mental disorders, or protection concerns.
Ensure timely, accurate, and confidential documentation of all case management activities using approved IMC tools and information management systems.
Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of MHPSS services within the assigned clinic.
Provide technical guidance, supportive supervision, mentoring, and coaching to the multidisciplinary mental health team.
Review assessments, care plans, referrals, case documentation, and case closures to ensure compliance with IMC standards and quality requirements.
Facilitate multidisciplinary case conferences and regular technical meetings to support clinical decision-making and service quality.
Identify staff capacity-building needs and organize on-the-job coaching, mentorship, and training activities.
Monitor the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of MHPSS services through routine supervision, quality assurance activities, and performance monitoring.
Ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), clinical guidelines, and minimum standards.
Support staff in managing complex and high-risk cases while ensuring appropriate service utilization and client-centered care.
Monitor client satisfaction and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Coordinate clinic operations related to MHPSS services and contribute to work planning and implementation.
Ensure timely, accurate, and confidential reporting of clinic activities and indicators.
Monitor psychotropic medication consumption, stock levels, and expiry dates, and promptly report shortages.
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
Strengthen collaboration with the Ministry of Health, local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to improve referral pathways and continuity of care.
Participate in coordination meetings and represent the clinic in relevant technical forums.
Support community engagement initiatives and collaborate with community leaders and organizations to improve access to MHPSS services.
Identify service gaps and contribute to the development of evidence-based, culturally appropriate, and comprehensive mental health interventions.
Perform other duties assigned by the line manager that are consistent with the responsibilities and level of the position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field e.g. psychology, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, education. An equivalent combination of relevant education and 3 years’ experience with a focus on MHPSS in humanitarian and development settings may be substituted as appropriate.
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a mental health program, including team leadership, project management, and resource allocation.
Case Management experience is mandatory
Proficiency in English and Arabic Language.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English
Experience in working with children
