Senior (Team Leader/Staff Supervisor)
Reports to: President of the Jordan Fencing Federation
Location: Amman, Jordan
Contract Type: Full-time
The Secretary General is the chief executive officer of the Jordan Fencing Federation (JFF) and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, implementing the Federation’s strategic goals, and ensuring compliance with local and international sporting regulations. The role involves close coordination with national and international stakeholders, managing administrative functions, and supporting the growth and visibility of fencing in Jordan.
Support the President and Executive Board in the implementation of the Federation’s vision, mission, and strategic plans.
Ensure effective governance in line with the statutes of the Jordan Olympic Committee, the International Fencing Federation (FIE), and the Asian Fencing Confederation (AFC).
Prepare and present annual reports, action plans, and key performance indicators to the board.
Oversee all administrative, financial, and logistical functions of the Federation.
Supervise staff, manage office operations, and ensure the smooth running of national programs and events.
Ensure transparency, efficiency, and compliance in all internal processes.
Coordinate national championships, international hosting obligations, training camps, and workshops.
Collaborate with clubs, academies, and regional bodies to implement nationwide development programs.
Represent the Federation in local and international forums, conferences, and meetings.
Maintain active communication with stakeholders including athletes, coaches, sponsors, and media partners.
Oversee all Federation publications, online content, and public communications.
Assist the Treasurer in budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
Identify funding opportunities and prepare sponsorship proposals in coordination with the President.
Manage contracts, agreements, and MoUs with external partners.
Ensure timely submission of entries, reports, and communications to the FIE and AFC.
Support athlete registration, visa coordination, and travel for international competitions.
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership or executive role within a sports organization or similar field.
Excellent command of Arabic and English (written and spoken).
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
High ethical standards and a commitment to transparency and good governance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general digital tools.
Knowledge of fencing or previous involvement in Olympic sports is an asset.
Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
