CONTRUCTION SITE SUPERVISOR (Fixed Term contract 11 months Jan-Nov 2026)

MAG has recently expanded its operations in Jordan to support the Physical Storage and Stockpile Management of weapons and ammunition in Jordan.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities at MAG’s project sites across Jordan. The role ensures that all construction works are implemented in accordance with MAG’s engineering standards, safety requirements, and project timelines. It involves close coordination with contractors, monitoring progress, conducting quality and safety inspections, and preparing daily and weekly reports.

This position is vital to ensuring that construction and rehabilitation projects are delivered to a high standard, on schedule, and in compliance with MAG’s technical, safety, and safeguarding policies.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Supervision and Coordination

  • Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Monitor contractor performance, progress, and quality of works.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and MAG’s Construction Manager to resolve technical and logistical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with MAG’s safeguarding and Health & Safety policies.

Quality Control and Compliance

  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify that materials and workmanship meet required standards.
  • Identify and report deviations or defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and test results.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports with photos and updates.
  • Maintain a site log of activities, manpower, and materials used.
  • Support the Construction Manager in compiling monthly summaries and donor reports.

Contractor Follow-Up and Coordination

  • Ensure timely completion of assigned works in accordance with approved schedules.
  • Verify quantities and assist in reviewing contractor claims and payments.
  • Participate in site meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability among all site personnel.
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
  • Support implementation of environmental protection measures on all sites.

ABOUT YOU

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction supervision, engineering, or design.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, bills of quantities, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction, rehabilitation, and renovation projects.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
  • Knowledge of Jordanian construction standards and regulations.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).

Desirable

  • Experience in NGO or donor-funded construction projects.
  • Familiarity with humanitarian principles and project delivery in remote or complex environments.

Salary: Gross Salary: 1425 JOD per month (Subject to social security and income tax deductions)
