Job Summary:
The project manager (PM) working for Leaders International for Economic Development is a full-time position based in Jordan. The PM should ensure the successful implementation of Leaders’ projects, through successful timely delivery of all activities, and coordination between the donor and other relevant partners. The project manager will ensure quality monitoring of results & indicators and oversee the coordination between the different partners. The PM will report directly to the Projects Manager.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the development and delivery of detailed projects’ implementation plans, ensuring all plans are on track.
• Ensuring project targets and results are all met.
• Develop and maintain strong relations with project partners and stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and end-of-project reports.
Reporting Functions:
• Ensure all reports sent to donors are reviewed by senior management and presented in high-quality standards.
• Ensure monitoring of all ongoing project phases—and maintain a full supervisory role over partner deliverables.
Communication functions
Monitor all project progress against the action plan, KPI targets, and budget, ensuring necessary adjustments are made when needed
• Ensure coordination with all project partners, community hubs, and private sector employers when necessary.
• Coordinate with other Leaders International projects in Jordan and internationally to exploit potential synergies in digital upskilling and market placement.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any relevant field, preferably in International Business, Social Sciences, Humanitarian field, or related topics.
• Experience in managing and implementing regional or national digital upskilling and youth economic empowerment activities.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the NGO sector, a minimum of 2 years of which must have been in a supervisory role.
• Background in managing and implementing livelihood projects in the region with a special focus on vulnerable youth, women (~50% target), and refugees.
• Provide necessary technical and methodological support for labor market assessments and take a leading role in curriculum and project development.
Personal and Professional Qualities
• Strong ability to work with diverse groups/individuals – ranging from local partners, association, and the private sector.
• In-depth knowledge of the Jordanian business environment and local labor markets across all 12 governorates.
• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills to manage risk mitigations and operational bottlenecks.
Skills and Abilities:
Experience in project management, planning, monitoring, and evaluation (MEAL).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, able to deal diplomatically and flexibly with a range of different people (government stakeholders, donors, private sector executives, and grassroots youth).
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
