Senior Donor Coordination and Operations Officer
Contract Duration: 12 months, subject to the applicable contractual terms and arrangements.
Expected Monthly Salary Range: JOD 2,000-3,000
A reputable organization is seeking qualified Jordanian professionals to fill the role of a Senior Donor Coordination and Operations Officer for planned national water projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation and monitoring of budgets, financing plans, expenditure frameworks, cash-flow forecasts, and financial progress reports for the Readiness Program.
- Collect, consolidate, validate, and reconcile financial information received from multiple implementing entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability.
- Track financing commitments, disbursement conditions, funding gaps, outstanding actions, and financial milestones across the readiness portfolio.
- Coordinate financial workflows and reporting requirements with Government institutions, implementing entities, donors, lenders, and other development partners.
- Prepare consolidated financial reports, management briefs, responses to financial queries, and audit-ready supporting documentation.
- Support donor missions, portfolio reviews, financial assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain structured electronic records and archives in accordance with applicable public-sector financial management, procurement, internal-control, and audit requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in financial operations, preferably within public institutions, utilities, infrastructure programs, donor-funded programs, or multi-entity environments.
- Strong analytical capability, including advanced Excel modelling, financial analysis, forecasting, and consolidation of financial information.
- Excellent report-writing, presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across government institutions, implementing entities, and development partners.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive financial and institutional information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and maintain accurate and auditable records.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
Preference Qualifications
The following qualifications are considered an advantage but are not mandatory:
- Postgraduate qualification and/or professional certification in supply chain, financial management, accounting, project finance, public financial administration, or a related field.
- Experience in infrastructure financing, portfolio analysis, ERP systems, or financial-management platforms.
- Familiarity with the financial reporting and compliance requirements of major development partners and international financial institutions.
